24/03/2022 - 'We're in Your Corner' campaign

The Welsh Government is investing in jobs, skills and training to help businesses grow and meet the needs of Wales' changing economic landscape and build a stronger, fairer and greener economic future.
To ensure that as many businesses as possible are able to access the financial support and expert advice available, we're supporting the Welsh Government's 'We're in Your Corner' campaign to
raise awareness of the wide range of skills, employability programmes and free advice available to all Welsh businesses.

Support is available through Business Wales to help businesses...

Recruit staff and train them in the specific skills they need (Apprenticeships, ReAct/ReAct+, Traineeships, GO Wales, Community Employability Programmes and Jobs Growth Wales+)
Upskill their existing workforce to support business survival, growth and development (Personal Learning Accounts, Apprenticeships, Wales Union Learning Fund)
Support the health and wellbeing of their workforce (In-Work Support Service, Out of Work Service, Healthy Working Wales)
Create a more equal and inclusive workforce through attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining disabled employees (Disabled People's Employment Champions, Online Toolkit, Inclusive Apprenticeships, Access to Work and Disability Confident)

This year, the Welsh Government is launching two new programmes, Jobs Growth Wales+ and ReAct+, which will support businesses to grow through a combination of expert advice, training grants and wage subsidies.
These programmes form part of the Welsh Government's ambitious Young Person's Guarantee, through which businesses are being supported to create new opportunities for young people under the age of 25 to join their team.

If you feel your business could benefit from accessing this support, head to Business Wales for more information or call 03000 6 03000 to speak with an expert adviser.

For National Day of Reflection we will join millions of people in a minute of silence at 12 noon to honour loved ones who have died and reflect on the challenges we have overcome.

As today, 23rd March, marks the first anniversary of the first UK lockdown, join us to take some time and space to think about the last year, to reflect on our collective loss, support those who've been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.

18/03/2021 - Welcome back

Very excited to welcome our first learner back to the centre today, in line with WG Covid-19 guidance and congratulations as well as she completed her Level 3 award.

We would like to say a big thank you to all health and social care staff who have worked so hard and continue to do so through this pandemic, you are all appreciated.

29/01/2021 - Fundraising events 2019 - 2020

Over recent years, The Assessment and Training Company have participated in and held many fundraising events to support both the local and wider communities.

Such events have enabled for funds to be raised to support many charities such as Cancer Research, Macmillan, The Alzheimer's Society, Ty Hafen, Arthritis Research UK, Cardiomyopathy UK - The Heart Muscle Charity and The Motor Neurone Disease Association to name but a few.

Like so many others who play an active role in much needed fundraising, the current Pandemic has become a barrier for many within society.

As a team, who enjoy running regular fundraising events, we decided to donate to The Wallich, a charity to support the homelessness in Wales rather than buy our yearly Secret Santa gifts for one and another.

Donations can be made direct to The Wallich by following the link below:
