Health & Social Care...
The Assessment and Training Company pride ourselves on delivering 'work-based learning' qualifications within the Health and Social Care sector.
Due to regulatory requirements, Health and Social Care qualifications are now a necessity for employment within this sector to ensure high quality services are at the forefront of supporting vulnerable individuals.
Many workers do not hold the relevant qualifications for registration with Social Care Wales. As we provide work-based learning to the learners we support, qualifications can be achieved during working hours and with minimal disruption to their working day. This allows nationally recognised qualifications to be achieved, without the need for evening or college classes.
Our City and Guilds certified Health and Social Care qualifications are aimed at individuals working with adults and/or children across all social care settings to include:
• Health and Social Care Award Level 2 Adults
• Health and Social Care Award Level 3 Adults
• Health and Social Care Award Level 3 Children and Young People
All covering the Core and Practice elements of the award.
The above are approved by Qualifications Wales and form part of the new suite of Health and Social Care, and Childcare qualifications in Wales provided by City & Guilds / WJEC.
They have developed by the City & Guilds/WJEC consortium in conjunction with stakeholders from the Health and Social Care sector. These included Social Care Wales, Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), tutors, teachers and workplace assessors.
A range of qualification funding is available through the Welsh Government to support achievements of Health and Social Care qualifications including the following:
The Core Award, The Practice Award and Essential Skills Wales.
Occasionally bespoke funding is available.
